The Etoile du Berger is located in the heart of the Luberon National Park and is built in a traditional Provençal style. This charming house is just a kilometer from the center of the village of Lacoste and is situated on a small plateau. Surrounded by a flower-filled garden and shaded trees, it offers a haven for holidaymakers seeking tranquility, nature, culture, or sports.

With 1 bathtub, 3 showers, 3 toilets, and 4 sinks, this charming house offers modern comfort combined with traditional flair. Among the amenities, you'll find 2 televisions, a VCR, a DVD player, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a microwave, an oven, 2 refrigerator-freezers, as well as fast internet access. In summer, the natural coolness of the house ensures pleasant temperatures, while air conditioning can be activated if needed. On the ground floor, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, a cozy living room with a fireplace, and three bedrooms accommodating up to 6 people in total. Additionally, the house has space on the first floor, accommodating 4 people with separate access. The sanitary facilities are generously appointed.

L'Etoile du Berger is situated in the midst of a splendid 5000 m² tree-lined property at the heart of the Luberon National Park. It's a paradise for vacationers seeking tranquility, nature, culture, or sports.
The view of the Luberon mountain range is breathtaking. A terrace to the north and another to the south provide shade at any time of the day. Enjoy a private swimming pool (10x6m) with a large, well-furnished patio including garden furniture and loungers. It offers privacy for swimming, unseen from outside the property. It is open from April to October and can be heated. In front of the house and near the kitchen, there is a barbecue.
The property is located a 15 min walk from the center of Lacoste: with its Marquis de Sade's Castle that dominates this charming village frequented by numerous artisans. Many beautiful walking destinations are available nearby without the need for a car.
Sports and Leisure
On the property, you can play pétanque, volleyball, table tennis, speedball, and various ball games.
In the surrounding area (from 0 to 20 km), there are opportunities for horse riding, canoeing, kayaking, golfing, mountain biking, cycling, rock climbing, fishing, sailing, and hiking. Less than a kilometer away, there is a path leading to the famous Cedar Forest (about a 1-hour ascent).
Many groups have already taken advantage of our house as a starting point for excursions on foot, mountain bike, or road cycling.
Excursions
For your outings, we offer four high-quality electric bicycles for rent at an advantageous price (see rental conditions and services).
Within a radius of 5 to 20 km, you can visit the ochre cliffs of Roussillon, the Colorado Provençal in Rustrel, the village of bories and the Sénanque Abbey in Gordes, the corkscrew museum in Ménerbes, the Cedar Forest, Notre Dame de Lumières, and the castles of Buoux, Lourmarin, Ansouis, Gordes, St Saturnin, and much more.
In a wider radius, you have the opportunity to visit Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Arles, Les Baux-de-Provence... and within an hour's drive, you can be by the sea, in the Camargue, or in Marseille. The Verdon Gorges and the Lake of Sainte-Croix are an hour and a half from Lacoste.

Rental Conditions and Services
You will find the rental prices per week in the reservation calendar.
The rental of house linens amounts to €15 per person (sheets, fitted sheets, pillowcases, towels, and bath linens).
The final cleaning fee is €70. However, we ask our tenants to sweep in all the rooms, empty the trash bins, and leave the kitchen in perfect order and cleanliness except for the floor. In agreement with our manager, you have the option of additional cleaning during the week (€15/hour).
The electricity costs amount to 1€ per person per day.
The rental of electric bicycles with helmet and lock is possible upon request (day €25, week €80, please contact Paul on-site).
A deposit (€750) must be paid to the manager upon occupancy (check or cash). The refund is usually made at the end of the stay. Firewood is offered to you free of charge. You will also enjoy free access to a high-speed internet connection.
A tourist tax must be paid to Tourist Office. The amount is €1,32/adult/night.
