Welcome to Etoile de Provence, a magnificent holiday home in traditional Provencal style, set on a 3200 m2 plot. Ideally located in the heart of the Luberon National Park, it offers breathtaking views of the Luberon, the Marquis de Sade's castle, and Bonnieux.
Whether you're seeking a tranquil retreat, a playground for your sporting activities, or a haven for cultural exploration, Etoile de Provence is designed to meet all your desires.
the interior
The house features 7 bedrooms for 13 to 15 people, along with 2 living rooms, one with a billiards table and the other with a fireplace. There's also a mezzanine with a library, 3 bathrooms with toilets, and a separate WC. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, and there are two terraces covered with grapevines in front of and beside the house.
We also provide a range of modern amenities, including internet with WiFi, 2 TVs, 1 VCR, 1 DVD player, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a microwave, a traditional oven, and 2 large refrigerators with generous freezer compartments.
The house is ideal for two to three families but is also popular with interest groups such as hikers, cyclists, or motorcyclists. Many wheelchair users regularly frequent this house.

The private pool, in Roman style and measuring 15 x 6 meters, is open from April to October. Two sides of the pool are terraced. Additionally, there's a covered pool area with a fireplace and barbecue, a summer kitchen, garden furniture, and plenty of sun loungers. A large garage for two cars also houses a ping pong table, a foosball table, and outdoor games like boules, badminton, or speedball.
On the grounds, you'll find additional parking spaces. Furthermore, a sauna with shower and WC is available in a closed section of the pool house.
The property is just a 15-minute walk from the center of Lacoste, where you'll find a small shop with a bread depot, 2 restaurants, a post office, and most notably, the Marquis de Sade's castle, bought and renovated by Pierre Cardin. This charming village is enriched by many artists.
Sports and Leisure
On the property, you can play pétanque, volleyball, table tennis, billiards, and speedball.
Opportunities in the surrounding area (from 0 to 20 km) include horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, golf, mountain biking, cycling, climbing, fishing, sailing, and hiking. Less than a kilometer away is a path leading up to the famous Cedar Forest (about a 1-hour ascent).
Many groups have already taken advantage of our house as a starting point for excursions on foot, by mountain bike, or road bike.

Excursions
Within a radius of 5 to 20 km, you can visit the ochre cliffs of Roussillon, the Colorado Provençal in Rustrel, the village of bories and the Sénanque Abbey in Gordes, the corkscrew museum in Ménerbes, the Cedar Forest, Notre Dame de Lumières, the castles of Buoux, Lourmarin, Ansouis, Gordes, St Saturnin, and much more.
In a wider radius, you have the opportunity to visit Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Arles, Les Baux-de-Provence... and within an hour's drive, you can be by the sea, in the Camargue, or in Marseille. The Verdon Gorges and the Sainte-Croix Lake are an hour and a half from Lacoste.
Shops
- In Lacoste, there's a small shop with a bread depot,
- in Coustellet (10 km, open Sunday mornings) a Super-U, a gas station
- in Apt and Cavaillon (18 km), all kinds of shops, supermarkets, gas stations,
- in Bonnieux (7 km), small shops, and bakeries, butcher.
- Numerous colorful markets in many villages offer typical regional products, vegetables, and fruits directly from the local producer.

Rental Conditions and Services
You can find the rental prices per week in the reservation calendar (availability).
The rental for bed linen is 15€ per person (sheets, fitted sheets, pillowcases, towels, and medium-sized bath towels).
The final cleaning costs 100€. However, we ask our tenants to sweep in all rooms, empty the trash cans, and leave the kitchen in a perfect condition of order and cleanliness, except for the floor.
In agreement with our staff, you have the option of additional cleaning during the week (15€/hour).
Electricity costs 1€ per person per day.
A security deposit (750€) is required upon occupancy of the premises (by check or cash). The refund is usually made at the end of the stay.
Fireplace wood is provided free of charge.
You also benefit from a fast internet connection free of charge.
A tourist tax is collected by the tourist office. The amount is 1.32€ per adult per night.
The rental of e-bikes with a helmet and lock is available on request (day 25€, week 80€, contact Paul on site).
